Today i went to the BR again. The day started out great. I sat down at a very tight table and had full control of it. I love that feeling when you know you can do no wrong. I quickly doubled my buy in and got up from the table. With that being said i thought all was fine. I go eat and come back. To be sucked out on repeatedly, AK is by far the worst hand in the poker world. It seems no matter what i do with it i get beat for some odd reason. Either by runner runner or i flop top top and they hit a set or better yet i flop broad way to be turn and rivered by a boat. Needless to say i went back down to my orignal buy in. I sit for alittle while longer and get up and leave even for the day.
I went home and took a nap to play at the HR tourny at 2am. I got up early and went and played in a live game until it started. I played for about 2hrs and was up about 50 dollars. The tourny starts and the 1st hand i see is KQ h's i raise to 150 and get called by 6 people. I flop top pair and check. The flop is Q,6,3 rainbow. It checks all around to the 6 seat and she bets 300 i call everyone else folds. The turn comes a 6 h's, I check and she beats again. This time she bets 700, i think about it and call. The river is a 7 c's. I value bet 600, thinking she has AK. She just smooth calls, at this point i know i'm beat. she flips over AQ off. That one hand took my out of the tourny. I only started with 2,000 and that left me with 250. Needless to say i did'nt last long. I talk about it all the time were i see people call off all theere chips on top pair and then i did the same thing. This is one easy tourny to win, but i felt like a beginner last night.
