Today i went to the BR and played 1-2 no limit for the 1st time. I was going to the HR but for some freakin reason the were tearing up the floors right at the poker room so i said the hell with that. Got to the BR about 3pm and sat down with 200.00. Did'nt see much at the begining but about 2 hours in i caught a rush. I had also gotten a great read on the entire table and knew i could out play everyone. Quickly my stack jumped from 2 to 400 in about 45 mins. Until this hand, i'm in seat 9 UTG i look down and see A 10 off and just limp in, it folds around to seat 6 he calls and seat 7 raises. She had sucked out on the entire table, and i knew she was weak so i just smooth call for 10 total seat 6 folds. The flop comes 10,k,3 rainbow. I check, she bets 25, i just smooth call knowing i have her beat. The turn comes a 7 i check and she bets 25 i just smooth call with the intentions of raising on 5th street. the river is a 6 i check and she bets 75. Now if you were in my shoes would you call here?????? What could she have? i think about it and fold my A 10. She's show me 10 6 off. Imagine that i get rivered again by a donk. Now i have a question should i have raised on the flop??????? What would you have done? She told me later she was testing the water and wanted me to raise, I told her i could get more out of her just by calling. You know what she said? ( Thats why i sucked out on you) LOL......
So after that i got up and went to the IP to play in the 6pm tourney. I buy-in and take my seat. Now most of the time i can't catch a card to save my life in a tourney but today was different. i sit down and the 1st 20 hand i see are all top ten hands. so i do what i am supposed to do and raise, to get called everytime but 3 to 4 people. I miss everytime on the flop and have to fold to someones all-in or over bet of the pot. Needless to say i did'nt last long. But there is a bright spot to the IP event. Mikey chopped it 4 ways for a decent pay out. We ended the day and went to Chilis to eat dinner, ending the day way up.
